Born and raised on a small farm in Northern California, Clayton has loved animals, and horses in particular, his whole life. He raised horses, cattle, goats, and poultry until attending UC Davis for his undergraduate and veterinary degrees.
After graduating veterinary school with a special interest in equine medicine and surgery, Clayton moved to Maui to join Dr. Cleghorn's mixed animal practice.
After 4 years of mixed veterinary practice, Clayton started Maui Equine Veterinary Services to specialize in equine practice.
Building a specifically equine veterinary facility for Maui is an accomplishment of which he is proud. Maui Equine Veterinary Services is Hawaii's highest tech equine medicine clinic, serving the whole state of Hawaii.
During his down time Clayton enjoys surfsports, travel, and family adventures.
